After the devastation that was left in the wake of Katrina, we at S'ArBella wanted to help and decided to design a piece specifically for the families affected, and have the net proceeds go directly to Habitat for Humanity's Operation Home Delivery.

The design and idea has expanded and so we are offering it to all of Habitat's Families.

Our friend Frankie, who has a radio show out of Boston suggested that when people buy the key rings, they have the opportunity to, not only buy one for themselves, but to purchase a key ring for the new Habitat home owners. This we are calling the "Friendship level" where we hold the key rings and send them to Habitat at the appropriate time. Next is the "Sponsor level". Sponsors receive a key ring with poem and description and a Sponsor Kit which contains a key ring, note card – for them to write a personalized message to the new home owners, a business sized card with the poem and description of the elements of the design, and the opportunity to attend a new home dedication (which they will receive upon sending in their kit to the Habitat for Humanity address listed in their kit).

The Katrina Peace is designed in the shape of a circle to represent the circle of life and to signify that we are all connected as every point on and in a circle is connected to the others and makes the circle possible.

Clouds can bring a needed break from the hot sun... and sometimes they bring storms and violent changes.

The waves found in the lower right side of the piece show that water can be destructive, and yet it nourishes and replenishes and like the water at birth, brings about new life.

In the center is a plant that is growing up through the flood waters.

The plant is the strength and spirit of the people. You will notice that one leaf on the left side is in the shape of a heart -- for the love and the humanity that is growing and is beginning to blossom.

On the far left of the piece is the image of a hand. This can represent a hand up - not a hand out, a helping hand, or the hand of God.

...and One Ray of Hope -- shining down on all.
